Temporary Housing Assistance Program

The Temporary Housing Assistance Program provides temporary housing for Restore active grantees who need housing as they complete their repair or rebuilding project.

The current priority and urgent need is to assist those in FEMA MHUs without alternate housing plans, to vacate by April 30, 2019. FEMA MHU Residents are strongly encouraged to contact FEMA to schedule their move-out inspection prior to the deadline to avoid penalties by calling 225-339-6601.

Homeowners that are not active in the Restore Program may apply for the Rapid Rehousing Program through the Louisiana Housing Corporation, which can provide some short-term housing assistance or other housing rental solutions.
